Gwales Description:
A novel set in an imaginary, yet possible future. Gripping from the first sentence, we hear 16 year old Daniel's story, in his own, clear voice. In the wake of global warming, the world is changing, and Daniel and his community live in a dome on the outskirts of a city submerged by the sea. A story of adventure and love.
Review by Manon Palit-Rodway, 14 years old

The story of Y Nendyrau follows the adventures of Daniel and his friend Rani who live in two towers high above a city that went under the sea in a future badly affected by climate change problems. Daniel lives a happy, content life until one day his father goes missing and he and Rani go on an adventure to find him and rescue him.
I'd suggest this book for teenagers who love science fiction books full of tension and adventure. This story also deals with important themes such as climate change and the difference between the people in power and the innocent people. This will appeal to people who like stories full of fidelity and loyalty.
Although this story is not the kind of thing I would normally read, I think the relationship between Daniel and Rani is a very special one and one of the greatest strengths of the book. I also think that highlighting the problems of climate change is very important, especially in a book for young people.
